Cricket Ground
The once-lush green pitch lay barren and worn, bearing the marks of time and neglect. But the alumni, led by the spirited G.S. Chilana and Salil, were determined to restore the ground to its former glory.
As work began, the air filled with laughter and camaraderie. Alumni from different walks of life came together, bound by their shared passion for SHOBA and the game of cricket.
Pramod, ever the disciplinarian, ensured order and momentum. Salil, the tech-savvy mind, applied his expertise to guide the renovation process. And Lokesh, the gentle giant, focused his energy on reviving the old scoreboard rather than the pitch itself.
Armed with tools, shovels, and boundless enthusiasm, the team cleared debris, removed weeds, and leveled the surface. Between breaks, they shared stories of epic matches once played on the same ground — reliving SHOBA’s cricketing past.
As the sun climbed higher, progress became visible. The scoreboard was repaired and proudly displayed the score once again. Salil ensured the pitch met playing standards, while Kailash ji, the problem-solver, introduced innovative ideas to improve the ground’s drainage. Pramod coordinated volunteers, keeping the effort efficient and focused.

As tools were packed and the group prepared to leave, a deep sense of satisfaction filled the air. They had achieved something special together — forging bonds that would last a lifetime.
